Industries We Serve
Low-Carbon by Geography.
Sapphire production is energy-intensive — which is precisely why where you make it matters. Falcon Sapphire is built around three structural advantages that shrink the carbon footprint of every boule we grow.
Powered by Latvia's Green Grid
Production runs on Latvian electricity — one of Europe's highest renewable-share national grids, dominated by hydropower, wind, and biomass.
Low-Carbon Raw Materials
Aluminium oxide feedstock sourced from suppliers with verified low or zero CO₂ carbon footprint — a key input variable for sapphire's lifecycle emissions.
EU-Local Production
Crystal growth, processing, and quality control on a single Latvian site. Short, transparent supply chain — no transcontinental shipping, no offshored steps.
Common Questions
Quick answers to the questions buyers ask before requesting a quote. For full technical detail, see our complete knowledge base.
What is the maximum diameter you can produce?
We produce raw sapphire cylinders up to 300 mm diameter. For larger formats, please contact us with your specification — we can discuss what's possible depending on your application and quantity.
What product forms do you supply?
We supply sapphire as raw cylinders, round and rectangular blanks, stepped windows, prisms, and custom geometries machined to drawing. We do not polish to finished optical window quality in-house — many customers polish the blanks themselves or use a downstream polishing partner.
What dimensional tolerances can you hold?
Standard manufacturing tolerances are tight by industry standards. For special orders, we can hold tolerances down to 10 µm. Plane accuracy for crystallographic orientation is ±0.01°.
What lead times can I expect?
Lead times depend on whether the part is from existing stock cylinders or requires fresh crystal growth, and on the complexity of the processing. Typical lead times range from 2 weeks for stock-cylinder cuts to 8–12 weeks for full-cycle custom growth plus processing. We confirm exact lead time with every quote.
Is Falcon Sapphire a true EU manufacturer?
Yes — we grow our own sapphire and process it in-house in Latvia. There are no offshored steps, no third-party crystal growth, and no non-EU intermediaries. Our customers benefit from a fully traceable, European supply chain free from geopolitical supply risk.
